Thomas began his Professional Music Career in 1989 at age 14 as a Pit Orchestra Guitarist with the University of Missouri Summer Repertory Theater. In May of 1993 as a High School Senior he joined the popular Latin Band Del Alma, recording 2 albums with them and helping the group to sell thousands of copies while touring throughout the United States until 2010.  Del Alma’s Shelter Garden Summer Concerts in Columbia consistently attracted thousands of fans of Latin Music.

He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia studying Music Education and went on to teach as an Adjunct Professor of Guitar there and at Central Methodist University as a Classical Guitar Masterclass Professor.

Since beginning his Public Professional Teaching Career in 1993, he has taught hundreds of students (many of them now professional musicians themselves) the Fine Art of Guitar Performance.

He has Served as the Guitarist for:

The Missouri Symphony, The Community United Methodist Church Contemporary Worship Service, Del Alma, The Psychodaddies, Soulstace, DISENGAGED, La Movida and Los Desterrados.

Bobby Schembre has a BA in Communication from Westminster College in Fulton where he also studied piano.  He is currently working as the Director of Music and Arts at Karis Church in Columbia.  He has over 25 years years experience playing piano, with experience in jazz improvisation, blues, classical, bluegrass (yes, pianists can mow the grass) and gospel music.  He has over 7 years experience teaching piano and has been with CAM since June of 2012

Ian Meyer – Voice Instructor

Ian Meyer, tenor, comes from Columbia, Missouri. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Missouri in Vocal Music Education, where he has studied voice with Mark McCrory, and continues his study under Steven Tharp. He also studies piano with Dr. Janice Wenger.. He is a member of the University Singers and the Show-Me Opera. He has performed the role of Rinuccio in Show-Me Opera’s production of Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. He was also a chorus member in Show-Me Opera’s production of Ward’s The Crucible, and has performed scenes from Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Bastien und Bastienne. He is a Worship Leader on staff at Woodcrest Chapel, a section leader/private teacher at Battle High School in Columbia, MO under the direction of Jazz Rucker and has served as a band clinician at 1st Assembly Church. Mr. Meyer is also a member of the professional ensemble Vox Nova and will be attending the Amherst Early Music Festival in New London, Connecticut this summer.

Pat Keenan began teaching guitar in 1990, taking over his teacher’s practice after a few lessons.  Currently, he plays lead guitar in The StoneThrowers, and in several other bands, most famously glam rockers The Shadowcasters. He has taught at various music stores, as well as Nottingham Schools in St. Louis. His insprirations/influences include Allan Holdsworth, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Tommy Bolin, Robert Fripp, Steve Hackett, and of course Eddie Van Halen. Extremely well versed in music theory as it applies to guitar, he specializes in the fine arts of Neo-Classical Metal and Shredding, but is also very well versed in Jazz/Fusion, Rock, Blues, and Country. Technique, theory, application and delivery are all taught with equal aplomb.

Brooke Danielsen earned a Bachelors of Music in Instrumental Music Education from Southwest Baptist University and a Masters of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from University of Tennessee.  She is an MTNA Nationally Certified Teacher of Music and has over 10 years of private teaching experience.  Brooke taught in the Westran School District in Huntsville, MO as the Director of Bands for 4 years and holds memberships in Music Educators National Convention, Missouri Music Educators Association and Missouri Bandmasters Association.  Since living in Columbia, Brooke has performed on horn with the Columbia Community Band and the Karis Community Church Worship Team.

Brandon has been playing the trumpet since the age of 10. After graduating from Clark County High School in 2005, he moved to Columbia to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in music education at the University of Missouri, where he studied privately with Dr. Iskander Akhmadullin. Through his work as the lead trumpet player for the MU Concert Jazz band, Brandon has had the opportunity to perform with such notable musicians as Plas Johnson, Rufus Reid, Matt Wilson, Ron Miles, and Mike Mainieri. He is featured on the MU Concert Jazz band’s 2010 album Vertigo: the Music of Mike Mainieri, which was hailed as “a splendid maiden voyage for White and the UM Concert Jazz Band” by Jack Bowers of allaboutjazz.com. Brandon has also been a member of another of MU’s top rated ensembles, the MU Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Brandon performed with SWE as part of the ensemble’s 2010 tour of the People’s Republic of China, which included six live performances in the cities of Beijing, Chongqing, and Chengdu. Brandon has enjoyed teaching private trumpet lessons in the Columbia area for the past two years and is an active member of the local music scene, performing with the Columbia Jazz Orchestra, a local big band headed by the notable Columbia musician Allen Beeson, as well as working with the Collegiate Shag Brass Band, a New Orleans-style brass band that he helped found over six years ago. As a sought-after independent musician in the mid-Missouri area, Brandon has also performed on many other projects, such as the MU production of Chicago and the Stephens College production of Thoroughly Modern Millie, both in 2011. He can also be heard on West Skyline Drive, an album by the St. Louis-based band The Educated Guess. Brandon toured the Midwest with The Educated Guess in the summer of 2009, with performances in Missouri, Texas, Indiana and Illinois. Through his education and performance experience, Brandon has delved into many styles of music and is an accomplished teacher of aspiring trumpet players of all ages and levels of experience.

No one knows for sure where Greg Hausman came from but it is rumored that he was found in an asteroid that landed on on the far side of the moon.  What we do know is that he has been playing guitar for 20+ years and has experience teaching people of all ages and interests.   An excellent choice for beginning guitarists as well as more advanced students who wish to accelerate their learning.
